FORD : hires top executive to head its marketing

FORD HIRES TOP EXECUTIVE FOR IT'S MARKETING

DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 11 — The Ford Motor Company said today that it had hired a top executive at Toyota James D. Farley, to head its marketing efforts.

Mr. Farley is the third high-ranking official to leave Toyota for one of the struggling Detroit automakers in recent months.Chrysler hired Toyota’s top American executive, James E. Press, as its president and vice chairman and the head of marketing for Lexus, Deborah Wahl Meyer, to be its chief marketing officer.
